Election Week! Thoughts from SK.

It is a busy week in the U.S.A!  We have elections coming up and  we have enjoyed learning about it in SK. Here are some thoughts from our week.

This is what we want to know about the President.
Palmer - Why isn't the government in charge over the President?
Charlie - Why is there a President in the world?
Alex - Why does the President have to be from America?
James - Why do we vote for the President?
Wills -  Why does the President always live in Washington D.C.?
Wilkes - Why do you have to be 35 to be President?

If I were President...
Thomas - Buy lots of toys
West - Give toys to other people when they don't have them
Jackson - Make schools better
Jude - Make friendly robots that try to block the bad guys when they get out of jail
George - Help the poor

Today we read Duck for President in class.  We would like you to read it to your class and your friends! Here are some great thoughts from the story.
Houston - Duck liked to grind coffee beans. I would like to do that!
Marcus - I liked when Duck was President because he didn't really know how to do it.
Cabell - I liked when he was riding in the parade.
Hyde - I liked it because it was funny.

Back to the Blogging World!

After a year break from my SK blog and a wonderful maternity leave I am back to blog! One of the main things I will be sharing this school year are my class "webisodes". We will be posting videos on this sight throughout the year that share what we are doing and ask questions for our viewers. We are looking forward to sharing with the world and hearing from SK classes from around the globe.
Glad to be back!
